Over the weekend my friend and I were looking for a new brunch spot to try out. We ended up at Café Gitane, a cute little french joint located in Nolita. I had the baked organic eggs with smoked salmon, capers, and potatoes. In the middle we got the avocado toast (which they are known for) to share. The toast consisted of sunflower bread, avocado, lemon, olive oil, and chili flakes. Everything was fresh and delicious and the cute intimate french set up of the place adds to an enjoyable atmosphere. This joint is a must try if your ever in the Nolita area!
