I am always for an outfit to be comfortable and effortless, but putting it together in a unique and stylish way is just as important. For this outfit, I layered this delicate lace slip dress with a black t-shirt. The slip already has such beautiful detailing, so I kept the look minimal by choosing a black t-shirt to layer over. Although the dress looks great alone, this pairing translates a more interesting look. Layering is a fun way to experiment with your style and just because the weather is getting warmer doesn't mean you can't play with different textures and materials for the summer months ahead!
Hot temperatures call for airy dresses. The weather in New Jersey is horrendous and probably will be for the next week or so due to the high temperatures and gross humidity. Although I love wearing jeans and a tee, sometimes it’s too hot to do so. This shift dress that I purchased a couple of months ago is ideal for those hot and sticky days. It was designed by Jessica Edmiston via Print All Over Me, which is a cool online platform for anyone to produce their designs by uploading their own artwork onto different basic white clothes and objects, such as a jacket or a drawstring bag. The best part about my dress, besides the psychedelic and abstract print, is that the material of it is so soft and breezy, which makes it comfortable to walk in 80+ degrees. There's something so timeless, fresh and clean about white shirts and denim. Summer is all about easy and minimal outfits so a classic white shirt and dark blue jeans is ideal. Even if you don't pair your jeans with a white shirt, a denim shirt works as well. All we need is a nice tan and we're set! Here are a few pictures that inspire us to recreate these looks.

This colorful and playful dress is perfect to slip on during the soon to be summer season. The cutouts allow you to accentuate your waist without being too showy and also creates a light and airy feel while wearing it. The tea length of the dress adds something unique to the garment and also makes it appropriate for multiple occasions!
Restaurants in the West Village always have a different vibe compared to those in SoHo, midtown or uptown. Due to the quiet atmosphere in the village, most restaurants are authentic with a private and intimate feel. The Italian restaurant called Malaparte, which is located on Washington Street, is known for its rustic and relaxing ambiance as well as their quality Italian food.
There are many Italian restaurants in New York with a generic menu. However, Malaparte does a great job of mixing authenticity with classic Italian dishes. Although this restaurant is cash only, they have exceedingly reasonable prices for the quality of food. The thin-crust pizzas, the house-made pastas and the selection of red and white wines are what keep making people (including us) come back!
The Di Porcini Tartufata pizza is one of our favorites. It's topped with mushrooms, mozzarella, truffle oil and grana. The size is pretty big but even after eating 3 slices, we had enough room to eat more since the ingredients were very organic, therefore not making us feel heavy after eating. If you're craving truffle oil but not in the mood for pizza, try the Garganelli ai Funghi Porcini! This truffle oil pasta has a savory taste with the perfect amount of sauce. As for appetizers, the Dadi di Tonno Scottato e Avocado is ideal due to this fresh and natural taste. Although the portion is small, it comes in simple cubes of tuna surrounded by pieces of frisée and is covered in a lemony dressing.
Besides the food, good service is key to a good restaurant. There is a constant presence of friendly and attentive service here at Malaparte. Also, although it's a small setting, this restaurant is great for big groups! It is a comfortable setting where everyone can sit close to each other, but not painfully close.
If you're ever in the area, definitely make a visit to this quant, sophisticated and European-style Italian restaurant. You will definitely be satisfied! Look below to see what are our favorite dishes are that we mentioned from above!

Spring dress season is among us and this satin floral print dress is ideal. Because of its dressy fabric, this dress can be worn during the evening but because of its champagne color and intricate design, it can be worn for a daytime party! It has a detailed pattern so I wanted to keep the rest of my look pretty simple. To do so, I paired this dress with classic black heels and gold jewelry. Shop below:
I recently purchased this dress from Gypsy Warrior for the transition from spring to summer. The best part is, it can be worn in multiple ways such as a dress, unbuttoned with a top and a skirt or even with pants, as seen in my look above. This dress could also be paired with high waisted shorts and a tank or worn alone completely buttoned up. It's currently one of my favorite pieces in my closet due its simplicity and its effortless feel. I completed the look with some heeled sandals and some dainty accessories, shop below!

If you're looking for a place to eat for a special occasion or a family gathering, Bryant Park Grill is the place to try. Located within the beautiful park, Bryant Park Grill offers a variety of choices within their menu. The restaurant itself has a very elegant feel so it's a great place to meet up for drinks if you're not stopping by to dine! The pictures you see above are some of the meals we ordered at our table. Everything was delicious but my favorite was the Seafood Salad Parfait (an appetizer listed on the menu) since it was fresh and very satisfying, thus it's definitely a must try!

Comfort is key while taking long walks in NYC. Since the weather finally warmed up, I wanted to wear a simple yet comfortable look. These pants from Aritzia are my new favorites since they can be dressed up or down depending on the time of day and they are so airy, which is ideal for when it gets hotter. To keep the focus on the pants, I wore a classic white tank top and to top off the look, I wore brown gladiator sandals which matched my Longchamp tote. Shop below!
