A classic white shirt is a staple in any girls outfit. It can be worn with almost anything and is such an easy and comfortable top for any outfit. I love keeping my looks simple yet enhancing them with jewelry and accessories, and that's what I did for this outfit. I wore a white button down, black leather leggings and black heeled ankle boots. To enhance my outfit, I mixed silver hardware with gold (breaking some rules here)! Although the chain on my cement colored bag is silver, I still wore a gold watch, rings and necklace. Since most of my wardrobe for the winter is full of black garments, to keep my outfits from looking too dull, I tend to pair them with a unique accessory or statement outerwear. I've had my eye on a U.K. brand called Shrimps for a while now; they create beautiful statement faux fur outerwear and accessories with really fun color pallets. Unfortunately, it's not currently in my price range. So, I have been on the hunt for a quality faux fur statement coat that doesn't push my budget and I finally came across one at Topshop! I wanted my full look to come across as 60s mod yet contemporary and the square silhouette of the coat gives off that modern vibe while my ankle boots have that 60s style. Shop my look below!
Monochrome prints are always a classic, but 2016 is a year to try out bolder looks with pops of color and unique prints. Pop art has been a major influencer within the fashion world. In the past few years, we have seen collections inspired by pop art from major fashion labels such as Prada and Valentino. This year, add some boldness to your wardrobe even if it is just through a statement accessory, such as a scarf or a clutch. Check out the images below for some inspiration!
Another year, another award show. The Golden Globes are known to be one of the biggest nights in Hollywood, and although the actual award show is what the hype is mostly about, the red carpet is what everyone really cares for. Every year we wait to see what each actor, actress or artist chooses to wear and which designer they decide on. This past year, there were a lot of simple and minimalistic gowns on the carpet, ranging from typical v-neck dresses to plain silhouettes. There were also many dresses that were covered in sequins or had unique patterns. As for men, most just wore the average black suit with white shirt combo but some had unique detailing. Overall, the red carpet at the Golden Globes ranged from a variety of different styles but below are our top looks!
