I've been looking for the perfect bomber jacket for so long but wherever I found one, it would either be too expensive, not the color I was looking for, not warm enough or just simply didn't look like the kind I wanted. Although the classic green color bomber is what I initially wanted, I came across this mauve-colored one at Forever 21 and instantly fell in love. The color is uncommon, it keeps me warm enough and it has the perfect amount of shine that isn't too overwhelming. Plus, it was under $30! Shop this look below:
For the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology exhibition, the hottest artists, fashion icons, models and celebrities all walked down the red carpet in iconic looks. It was an evening filled with sparkly sequins, metallic color palettes, straight edged cutouts and detailed embellishments. Although the majority of the attendees wore technology inspired looks, there were also a ton of celebs who decided to keep it more simple, or less cliché. Either way, the red carpet was filled with amazing ensembles and below are our top looks from the night!
Alexa Chung in Thakoon
Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton
Grimes in Louis Vuitton
Karlie Kloss in Brandon Maxwell
Kate Hudson in Versace
Lily Rose Depp in Chanel
Poppy Delevingne in Marchesa
Rita Ora in Vera Wang
As the weather is gradually warming up, it's time to think about what trends are in for the summer season! The 80s have definitely made a comeback, with pops of bright colors, oversized garments (luckily no signs of giant shoulder pads) and intimate-wear being styled as outerwear. It is definitely all about having fun when it comes to pairing your outfits for this summer so add a bit of color and mix and match unexpected fabrics/prints.
However, keep in mind that comfort is still key! Sleepwear is also in - the trend of the silk pajama set is on the rise and has been going down the majority of runway shows this season to be utilized as outerwear (of course these looks have been re-vamped in a more stylish way). Check out these looks below for some inspiration and keep these words in mind (bold, bright, and comfortable) while dressing for this summer season!
