During our hunt for a new place to grab brunch in the Lower East Side, we came across Little Rascal. The list of options on the menu looked oh so familiar and reminded us of home, since this quaint restaurant has a variety of Mediterranean dishes, whether that be for breakfast or dinner. For brunch, we ordered a Simit Plate, Menemen and Eggs with Sucuk. Simit is basically the Mediterranean                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                               version of a bagel but with less dough and topped with a lot of sesame seeds. It came pressed like a panini with melted cheese, olive spread and tomatoes. We also ordered Menemen, which is a Mediterranean take on scrambled eggs but filled with veggies and spices (bread is a must while eating this dish!). Lastly, we also got the Egg with sucuk, which is the Mediterranean sausage, and it's known to be the perfect pairing with eggs. Everything tasted delicious and fresh so definitely try out Little Rascal if you're in the mood for something different!
