Haute Couture Spring 2016 Fashion Week

Monday, February 01, 2016

Haute Couture is a completely different ball game compared to Ready-To-Wear fashion week shows. The amount of work that goes into the mesmerizing gowns, sequined ensembles or hand-knitted lace is mind-boggling since everything is perfected down to each detail. Hundreds of hours are spent in the different atelier's to create a whole collection of art. Not only is the craftsmanship noteworthy, but also the fashion expresses an emotional reaction and takes us to a whole new world of clothing.

Every Haute Couture collection is different than the other; some are focused on embellishments while others mix different fabrics to create a new illusion. However, when it comes to these shows, each collection is unique and beautiful in their own way. Below are our top looks from 3 different fashion houses and designers and although the vibes of each collection is different than one another, all of the pieces are impeccably designed and constructed. Look below!

  1. Now as for the ethics of wearing fur, I think it's perfectly fine to wear what you want and not to be dictated by other people's hate. They clearly demonstrate that unless humans are completely free of hate, envy or greed, there will be unethical fur farms/hunters out there.
