Mixing different fabrics, prints and garments is necessary when picking out an outfit. It’s important to be able to pair evening/night out garments with simple daytime ones so that your wardrobe can be used in full effect. For this day look, I wanted to keep it casual yet also somewhat dressy without looking over the top. By wearing this seamless slip, I have that casual vibe but by adding a silk blazer, I have a more formal one. Since it was pretty cold outside, I wore sheer stockings, which also grunged up my outfit but I also put on some knitted calf socks to make the outfit more relaxed and informal. As you can tell, I mixed different pieces and fabrics to create this comfy yet chic look. Shop below!
As we head closer to fashion month, designers are starting to debut their Pre-Fall 2015 collections. After looking through the different ones, I have to say, Mugler’s collection is to die for!
Although Thierry Mugler is the original fashion designer of this fashion house, David Koma is the artistic director responsible for this Pre-Fall Collection. Acquiring his title back in December 2013, Koma’s vision for this house is to incorporate sophisticated hardware, sleek designs and sharp tailoring to create all around beautiful and clean collections.
The leather jumpsuit, the leather cropped turtleneck and the leather tailored shirt and mini skirt are all beautiful and modern looks, ideal for the season approaching because who doesn’t love leather in the fall? Menswear also plays a big role in this collection and this is seen in the white, burgundy and gray collared wool coats as well as in the high waisted tailored pants and they are all crisp and sleek in their own ways.
Sophistication overall describes this collection due to it's simplicity and modernity. The colors are fresh, the styles are clean and the designs are minimal, making this collection one of my favorites for Pre-Fall 2015!

American Bulldog Coffee Roasters recently opened at 31 N Broad Street in Ridgewood, NJ. When you enter the shop, the first thing you notice is a beautiful fireplace with retro decor and you immediately feel the cozy/comforting vibe the shop gives off. It offers a great selection of expresso based drinks and also a variety of teas and after speaking with the owner, I found out that they only use organic ingredients and their baked goods are all gluten free and baked in the house! They even roast their own beans at another location near the shop, which is pretty cool.
I've already paid multiple visits to this shop and I have to say, it was one of the best cups of coffee I've ever had. Some of my favorite food items on the menu are the raspberry brownie and the plain croissant, the brownie was baked to perfection and the croissant was so fresh! They have a variety of other baked goods to choose from such as biscotti's, cookies, and if your in the mood for something savory, they offer quiche tartlets. I will definitely be paying many more visits so that I can try the rest of what's on the menu and if you're ever in the area, check this place out!
Happy New Year everyone! This NYE I decided to sport the classic LBD. The zipper appliqués on the collar add an edgy twist to the dress. I threw on a moto-jacket over it to keep in the same theme of edginess and also to add some structure to the loose fitted dress. As for shoes, I chose burgundy pumps to add a subtle hint of color to my look. Here's to an amazing New Year and a thanks to all our viewers!
First off, Happy New Year! This night is all about dressing up so I chose to wear a cropped satin silver blouse and I paired it with my leather leggings. I also carried a vintage beige snakeskin purse to add some contrast to my monochrome outfit. I hope you all had an amazing night and the best of luck to all of you in 2015! Shop my outfit below:
